Feel4Climate
Feel4Climate aims to bridge this gap by recognising and addressing the emotional, social, and psychological dimensions of the climate crisis. By integrating environmental psychology with climate activism, the project empowers young people to navigate their climate emotions in constructive ways.
SOS Project – Save our Shores: Stop Wealthy Polluters
Cruise liners, superyachts, and other large ships are causing serious environmental, social and health problems in the Mediterranean Sea. These vessels often burn heavy fuel oil (HFO) and other highly polluting fuels, causing air pollution, contributing to the climate crisis, and affecting the health of local communities. The SOS Project tackles these environmental and social impacts of Malta’s booming maritime industry.
Food Connect
Food Connect is a European initiative aiming to tackle the food waste crisis in Southern EU countries by promoting sustainable practices in food production, distribution, and consumption. The project aims to upscale and enhance a LIFE-funded "Collaboration Network platform," making it more accessible and intelligent, while piloting its replication in Portugal, Malta, and Cyprus.
People Power Up
The People Power Up project aims to power up Friends of the Earth Malta’s work on community energy. One of the main solutions we propose for our energy system – still 90% based on fossil fuels – is the idea of renewable energy communities, which are citizen-owned and democratic organisations that work on common renewable energy or energy efficiency projects.
Embrace: reconnect with nature
In Embrace we want to offer opportunities for young people to reconnect with nature. We want to create a caring community, based in nature to increase creativity, reduce depression and anxiety, and improve the ovehealth of both people and the planet. In nature there are no expectations to fulfil, and as long as we respect the different beings living there, we will be welcomed and included. Here we can be ourselves, individually and together with other young people.
HerpTrust
HerpTrust project aims to contribute to improving biodiversity’s resilience, by nursing and promoting positive Human-Herpetofauna Interactions (HHI) through herpetofauna-related adult education to citizens and VET. Professionals who live and work in nature (e.g. farmers, shepherds, hunters), and are thus in contact with herpetofauna species regularly, are the real countryside managers and the people who can make a difference, safeguarding herps and the rest of biodiversity.
Youth Environment & Activism Programme
Welcome to our dynamic project dedicated to empowering youth as change makers and activists within their communities. We provide a platform for young individuals to develop skills in environmental, climate, and social justice, all while having a blast, forging connections, enjoying games, music, and moments of relaxation.
YouthIES
The YouthIES project supports youth social entrepreneurship by integrating digital experiences, ideation, creativity, social and community responsibility, inspiring the uptake of initiatives. Its activities aim to enhance youth capacities for community-based environmental interventions using digital tools and effective systems-thinking approaches.
