Community Harvesting of Oranges

It’s citrus season! Time for harvest … and also the time to bid farewell to the current EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
As we look ahead to January 2023 for the new CAP reform we would like to invite you to a community harvesting event at a small citrus grove as well as our own Community Garden for an informal dialogue as part of our project Bridge DEAL & CAP which aims to increase citizens’ knowledge about the new CAP and the European Green Deal. After the harvest (mainly of bitter oranges ‘Tal-Bakkaljaw’) we will walk down to our Green Resource Centre (5mins away) and proceed to create a variety of products together to take home with us.
The event is by registration and limited to a small number of participants. Participants will receive more information by email in due course.
With thanks to Floriana Local Council for their support in making this event possible and ELC for access to the garden. NOTE: In case of bad weather the event will be postponed to the following Saturday.
