This month we got active and bounded around with some educators! As our project – Get Active Bound Around! comes to an end our team organised and held in-person training for interested teachers and educators.
The purpose of this training was to promote three interactive digital bounds focusing on environmental issues, primarily climate justice, food sovereignty and green urban spaces. These interactive digital bounds are aimed at students between the ages of 11 and 17 years of age, and all the supporting resources are freely available.
Educators were provided with resources which include lesson plans and materials available freely on FoEM website and they were given a chance to try out one of the games to see how digital apps can be integrated into their own environmental education activities.
The workshops were held with the full support of the Directorate for Digital Literacy and Transversal Skills. Learn more about the project here: https://foemalta.org/projects/actionbound/
The FoEM team would like to thank all teachers and educators who attended the Training workshops last Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th of March. Anyone working with children or youths both in formal and informal settings and is interested in learning more about how to use these free apps and resources can register for our next free training workshop which is being planned for Monday 8th May between 15:30-17:15 at the Friends of the Earth Malta Green Resource Centre in Floriana.
