YOUTHECO is a 2-year Erasmus+ project that will support marginalized youth, such as NEETs and young women, in their re-skilling and upskilling towards the green economy. An open resource toolbox that comprises of non-formal learning on the areas of Forest-based care, Waste Reduction, Social agriculture, Energy supply, Urban green care, Ecotourism, and Green Entrepreneurship will be created. The project will train youth workers in the above-mentioned topics, who will then in turn train the youth. Five of those youths will be given the opportunity of work shadowing placements in the green sector. This will increase NEETs and young women’s green sector knowledge, and task management skills and gear them for future career possibilities. All the resources created for this project (training modules) and open resource toolbox is accessible online linked here.
