Fgura scout troops and Qormi guides joined us to test out and give feedback on the Earthbound Hideout app
The joint project has developed interactive environmental games to be used by teachers in schools together with accompanying lesson plans. The apps are aimed at different age groups and can be used on a tablet or a smartphone using an app for playing digital scavenger hunts. The aim is to work on social and environmental challenges and complete tasks as a team.
- Earthbound Hideout is suggested for Years 7-8 and focuses on the sense of place and urban rewilding in a local context. To be played outdoors.
- Climate Justice Escape Game for Sixth Form students/youths – A digital Escape Game which gets the team to work together on climate justice issues with an introduction to Doughnut Economics. It can be played anywhere.
In early spring we will be organising an information session for teachers – if interested please contact us so we keep you informed. In the meantime, if you are a teacher and would like us to visit your school to try out the games with your students you may also contact us for an appointment. Contact: annalise@foemalta.org
