Friends of the Earth Malta is launching an international photographic exhibition on climate change on Tuesday 15th September at Sliema’s Independence garden at 7.30pm, titled ‘The climate is changing… are you?’
It’s not so difficult to realize that climate change is happening in Malta as well as in the rest of the world but how deeply are these changes influencing our life and our perception of the world around us?
Friends of the Earth Malta challenged youth and adults with an international photo competition on the themes of the visible effects of climate change to better understand how people feel, reflect and react towards this problem.
The winning photographs, selected amongst participants from more than 20 countries, including Malta, show in very personal and original ways, the effects of climate change happening around the world.
Everyone is invited to visit the exhibition and be confronted with this reality. The exhibition will travel in three different locations in Malta, with the following calendar:
- Sliema Independence Garden: 15th September to 30th September
- University of Malta (Humanities Department area): 1st October to 15th October
- Birgu Waterfront: 15th October to 30th October
Friends of the Earth Malta is committed to promoting a healthier planet for present and future generations. Friends of the Earth Malta is lobbying for concrete action to be taken now to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote accessible renewable energy on a nation-wide scale.
