Be Active – Be-come a Beekeeper

There is not just the honey bee – there are over a hundred species of bees that have been recorded in Malta, like the white-banded digger bee or the violet carpenter bee.
It may be tricky to tell them apart, but it’s not impossible! Join our event and visit a beehive!
Learn about these precious species and ask all your questions to our beekeeper Jorge, who will co-host the session.
This event is open to young people under 25 and is located at Jorge’s beehive. The event is by registration and limited to a small number. Participants will receive more information by email once registered.
Covid-19 measures:
- Participants must be vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination must be presented prior to entry.
- Group size is limited to 15 people to ensure adequate social distancing.
- All participants will be required to wear a face mask.
- Hand sanitizers, hand washing facilities and disinfectants will be available.

For young people 25 or under. Please register for the event as there are a limited number of places. Participants will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Photos will be taken during this event. Please inform us on the day if you do not wish to be included.
