Community Garden Session
April 12 @ 14:00 - 18:00 CEST

Join us for our upcoming Community Garden!
SATURDAY, APRIL 12
2 PM – 6 PM
Friends of the Earth Malta, Green Resource Centre, Floriana
In collaboration with the Foundation for the Conservation of Maltese Honey Bee, this Community Garden session is dedicated to pollinators and their vital role in growing our food!
Explore how pollinators – especially the unique Maltese honey bee- help sustain biodiversity and support local agriculture.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
- Participants will attend a short presentation about the Maltese bee species, observe hives up close, and learn about the basics of beekeeping.
- Afterward, we’ll get our hands dirty with a practical gardening session focused on creating pollinator-friendly gardens—planting native flowers and herbs that attract bees, butterflies, and other vital species.
- We’ll be harvesting fresh vegetables from our previous planting sessions, and preparing them in our kitchen to enjoy together. (You are also encouraged to bring some prepared vegetarian food to share.)
