Following approval by the Planning Authority (PA) of the db Group project on the ITS site, residents, eight NGOs and three Local Councils – Pembroke, St. Julian’s and Swieqi – want to undertake legal action to challenge the appalling decision of the PA. Legal actions include, but are not limited to, an appeal with the Environment and Planning Review Tribunal (EPRT).
As there are high costs involved, this will only be possible with the public’s financial support. Local Councils and NGOs will cover part of the procedural and professional fees. However, this is not enough to cover all expenses.
Thus, the public is being asked to help in order to fund-raise €15,000 that will enable such legal action. All donations will go to a fund that will be used to cover expenses for legal remedies against the db project on the ITS site.

This project will negatively affect people’s lives and the environment, and was approved in spite of the over 4,500 objections submitted to the PA. We are determined to fight this till the end, and we know that we can win.
