In the first weeks of December, world leaders have come together once again to discuss climate action at the global climate change conference. This year, the conference takes place in the heart of oil and gas extraction: the United Arab Emirates. All the more reason for us to raise our voices and say loud and clear that the era of fossil fuels is over! To avoid climate catastrophe we need to stop investing in fossil fuels now and shift to renewables, energy savings and community energy.
Let’s make some noise together to ask our government to give a clear message in the EU and on the world stage: we want a fossil free world!

When? Starting on Saturday 9 December until the final day of the global climate conference on 12 December
Who? You, and your friends, family, neighbours, pets, …
How? Here’s what to do:
- Step 1: Write a message (some examples below)
- Step 2: Take a picture with a sign
- Step 3: Upload it to Facebook (FB) and/or Instagram (IG)
- Step 4: Write a message to ask for real climate action and tag our Minister for Environment and Energy, Miriam Dalli (on FB: @drmiriamdalli, on IG: @miriamdalli), tag Friends of the Earth Malta (on FB: @foemalta, on IG: @foe_malta) and tag your friends to encourage them to do the same!
