Spring is coming, flowers are blooming! If you love this season as much as we do, you’ll want to save the bees who make it possible, by signing the petition below. To celebrate their hard work, you can then drink up our Honey Bee cocktail for them!
Now, have a well-deserved glass of this Honey Bee Cocktail ! It is a very close cousin of the original, prohibition-era, Bees Knees, which uses gin instead of the rum (you can use whichever one you prefer).
60 ml Jamaican dark rum (2 oz)
22.5 ml Honey syrup (0.75 oz)
15 ml Lemon Juice (0.5 oz)
Combine all the ingredients into your cocktail shaker, add ice, and give it a nice shake. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. If desired, garnish with some lemon, and drink up for the bees!
ALCOHOL FREE VERSION: you can also replace the rum/gin with some cooled ginger tea (or lemon and ginger). Just prepare your tea in advance and let it cool. Then combine with the rest of the ingredients and follow the same steps as for the original cocktail!
Don’t forget to share the petition (and the recipe!).
