On Tuesday 3 December 2024, Friends of the Earth Malta together with the Institute for Climate Change and Sustainable Development and a bike mechanic from The Cyclist organised a Bike Repair Cafe on campus at the University of Malta.
Dressed with Christmas hats and bearing gifts (delicious vegan cupcakes and a free set of MICROMOBI bike lights for these darker days) we offered students and staff who come to university by bicycle the opportunity to get their bikes checked and fixed. Participants and passerby’s could also experience the joy of cycling on an e-bike provided for test rides by The Cyclist, and could admire our cargo bike, which was used to transport our goodies to the event. We had a great time sharing the joy of cycling and some festive cheer as part of the ongoing ‘Christmas on Campus’ campaign!
The MICROMOBI project is a collaboration between Friends of the Earth Malta, Friends of the Earth Cyprus, LKM and Promimpresa and is co-funded by the European Union.
