Empowering Communities through Meaningful Events
- Gardening Event for the Christian Life Community
This event combined hands-on learning with environmental stewardship. Attendees of all ages engaged in learning about the differences in waste separation, the harvesting and food seasons in Malta, and planting personal plants to grow at home. This interactive session highlighted how individual actions can contribute to the broader mission of waste reduction while fostering a deeper connection with nature.
- Documentary Screening: Wasted
FoEM hosted a screening of the acclaimed documentary Wasted, which explores the global food waste crisis and innovative solutions to combat it. Following the screening, an engaging discussion with a special guest was held to empower participants with practical steps to minimize food waste in their daily lives. By showcasing global and local strategies, the event emphasized the importance of rethinking food systems and behaviors to protect the planet.
- Composting Showcase with Attard Council
Collaborating with the Attard Council, FoEM organized a composting showcase to demonstrate how organic waste can be transformed into valuable compost. This hands-on event offered practical insights into starting and maintaining composting systems.
