The exhibition brings together the work of Joanna Demarco, Lisa Attard, Inigo Taylor, Mario Asef, Sheldon Saliba which are complemented by an excerpt of text written by Daphne Caruana Galizia. Emerging from vastly different artistic disciplines, their work seeks to tell the story of a so-called protected island that has endured decades of disrespect and highlights the calls from civil society to safeguard its natural heritage.

Typically found growing in the garigue, along dry stone walls or valley sides, it seems to prefer calcareous areas closer to the coast. One of its distinguishing characteristics is its shiny leaves but it is more likely to catch your eye during its flowering period, from winter till late spring, with its dainty white flowers, sometimes tinged with violet. It is described as a melliferous plant (a plant which yields nectar that can be transformed into honey) and is thus a great pollinator plant for bees.

Micromobility, what’s that? Small human or electric powered mobility devices, such as walking, cycling and scooting are collectively referred to as micromobility. These modes of transport are suitable for short urban trips and are a key tool to reduce carbon emissions from transport.
In our new project MICROMOBI we will develop skills and raise awareness on the topic of micromobility. In January 2024 we held the first face-to-face partner meeting, in Malta, and with that, the MICROMOBI project is officially underway.
