Friends of the Earth Malta, together with over a hundred organisations from across the EU, have recently launched a European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) with the aim of collecting at least one million signatures. Your voice can really make a difference, because our demands will have to be considered by the European Commission.

Join us for a short and motivating online film screening & watch party of the 25 min long “Generation Green New Deal”, directed by Sam Eilertsen, on Wednesday 17th March, at 18:00 followed by a short discussion. You’ll get to see how the motivation and dreams of young people pushed them to raise their voices and interact with state-level politicians like Alexandra Ocasio Cortez.
This event is 100% free and open to everyone! All you have to do is register below. A link for a Zoom call will be sent to you a couple of days before the event, during which we will share the link for the film.

What is your vision for the future? What do you think needs to be done to protect people and the environment in Europe? We want to open the discussions to all the youth who are interested in environmental and social justice but feel like their voice is not heard and can’t express themselves in society. We are collecting young people’s vision on the future of Europe to know better and defend better their values, struggles, ideas and views. We also want to hear what you think of urgent European topics and policies that influence them, such as the European Green Deal.
