Based on the Government’s commitment and support towards Voluntary Organisations, public employees may be released for a maximum of 12 months on a full-time basis to join Friends of the Earth Malta through professed support! We are looking for enthusiastic employees that are determined to make our world a better place while working in a collaborative and friendly working environment. Depending on experience and expertise, the scheme beneficiary could be involved in any of the following: research, client relations, project management, education and awareness, logistics, general office administration, support with our community garden and beekeeping initiatives. Opportunities for participating in training, seminars and conferences (in Malta and abroad) might also be available. If you are eligible for the scheme and want to spend 12 months working to safeguard nature, apply now by filling up the application form on our website. The application deadline is 17 April 2022.

There is not just the honey bee – there are over a hundred species of bees that have been recorded in Malta, like the white-banded digger bee or the violet carpenter bee. It may be tricky to tell them apart, but it’s not impossible! Join our event and visit a beehive!
