Bees, butterflies, flowers … what do all these have in common in Malta and the rest of the EU? They are all interconnected in complex and diverse systems which means they are also very likely to be harmed by pesticides which enter the food chains and habitats they form part of.
Our biodiversity is at risk as never before! We as EU citizens need to raise our voices to reverse this trend before it is too late.
To protect bees and people’s health, this initiative is being undertaken locally by FoE Malta together with many organisations coming together from all over the EU to call on the Commission to phase out synthetic pesticides by 2035, restore biodiversity and to support farmers in the transition.
We have until September 30th to reach 1 million signatures for the European Citizens Initiative Save Bees and Farmers. 730.000 Europeans to have signed the initiative. Add your voice to demand the phase-out of pesticides now!
