Have you heard about the corrupt Electrogas deal and the fossil gas pipeline that might replace the LNG tanker? The proposed Melita TransGas pipeline between Sicily and Malta, estimated to cost €400 million, would lock Malta in a dirty fossil fuel future for decades to come. This goes completely contrary to the renewable energy transition we need. New fossil fuel infrastructure is incompatible with international climate goals.

THE STORY OF PLASTIC is a searing exposé revealing the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the false solution of plastic recycling.
Join us for a documentary screening and panel discussion of plastics and its impacts on our lives, climate change and human rights on Friday 17th November between 5:00pm and 8:00pm at the KSU Common Room at the University of Malta.

Bicycle Repair Cafe
Do you like to cycle, but not sure what to do if you get a flat tire, the chain coming off, or an issue with your brakes? Join us for a free, volunteer-based, and participatory Bicycle Repair Cafe where you can learn the basics of bicycle maintenance and repair common issues like punctures and brake problems. Joe Gatt, cyclist and bicycle repair instructor will show how to take care of the bike and guide you through the process, following the ‘do it yourself’ principle.

November Plant of the Month: Rosemary (MT: Klin) Salvia rosmarinus
Rosemary is an evergreen shrub native to Malta but which has sadly become quite rare in the wild. It is an exceptional pollinator plant to have in your garden as it flowers several times during the year. It is also precious for its culinary and natural remedy properties.
