We are facing one of the most turbulent decades in modern times. All signals tell us that the existing order is a long-term threat to humankind and the environment. To ensure a future for everyone, the moment to call for systemic change and climate justice is now. We are collecting signatures for an EU-wide petition demanding systemic change and climate justice.
We're collecting signatures till the 7th of November. The petition will be presented to European leaders attending COP27 in November. Already signed? Share the petition with friends and family.

Did you know that we have a supporter scheme? That's right! Friends of the Earth Malta has a great community of members who help offer our organisation some independence.
We're pleased to share that we've recently updated our membership benefits to include some really great new perks, including discounts from our favourite green businesses!
Why become a supporter? It's fantastic way to help us protect the environment, support the community while getting a little something in return.

Plant of the month
The White Poplar grows only in a handful of valleys where moisture is abundant at least for part of the year. The bicoloured leaves create a beautiful shimmering effect when moved by the wind thanks to the silvery white underside of the leaf. The Poplar is a strictly protected tree in Malta.

On Tuesday October 25, during peak traffic in the afternoon, activists from Friends of the Earth Malta, Moviment Graffitti and Rota gathered at Msida Creek with bicycles, placards and flyers. They were inviting other members of the public to join their call on the government to invest in the people of Malta, to decongest the roads and provide our society the possibility to use sustainable modes of transport, safely.
