Looking Ahead
Recently our staff, volunteers and board members came together for a 3-day strategy meeting! The strategy meeting offered a chance for us to reflect, plan ahead and discuss our goals as an organisation. During the 3 days we developed our timeline for the next 2 years. We also enjoyed a few walks, and nature hikes which led us to some beautiful places.
Join our exciting projects, events and opportunities coming in the next few years by clicking the 'get involved' button.
This activity was funded by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ through the REBOOT funding scheme.

We are facing one of the most turbulent decades in modern times. All signals tell us that the existing order is a long-term threat to humankind and the environment. To ensure a future for everyone, the moment to call for systemic change and climate justice is now. We are collecting signatures for an EU-wide petition demanding systemic change and climate justice. Read our demands and sign the petition now!

We recently added a book in Maltese written by one of the main promoters of organic farming locally Mario Joseph Salerno: Biedja Organika Għal Ġejjieni Sostenibbli . Click below to find out more.

Flower of the month
September's Flower of the Month highlights the Bramble (MT: Għollieq) Rubus ulmifolius. It may be painfully thorny and impenetrable but the Bramble also yields the softest of fruits – blackberries. Ripe at this time of year, they are a treat for both animals (especially birds) as well as foraging humans. Its dense green cover creates the perfect shaded habitat sought especially by the Cetti’s Warbler. Find out more about this plant on our Foraging Guide.

Friends of the Earth Malta together with four other organisations are appealing ERA's approval of an extensive village, restaurant and retail outlet on Comino. We are firmly opposing the urbanisation of Comino, slamming the superficial assessment of the private project on a prized nature reserve in favour of the commercial interests of a few catering for the wealthy.
