The Amazon is burning – more than ever. Indigenous people and small farmers are being repressed, precious ecosystems are set on fire, monocrops and pesticides dominate the new fields. All this to produce cheap meat, soy and ethanol, a big part of it for us Europeans.
And things could get much worse: the EU is about to agree on a new trade deal which could pour gasoline on these fires.

Did you know that meat can harm your health? All products used to grow livestock go into your piece of meat so into your body. The products also spread in the environment, killing other species and polluting water all over the world. 👉 Go meatless and eat more vegetables! 🥕

The “Malta Farm Map” aims to support local farmers sell their local fruits and vegetables by connecting farmers and customers directly in this time of crisis.
Farmers put a lot of work and passion into growing food, and we want citizens to get a glimpse of that. Right now people want to support local farmers but are finding it hard to purchase from them. Customers can now locate their nearest friendly farmer and buy their fresh local produce directly. In that way they will be promoting the local farming community which had already been struggling even before the current crisis.
