Waiver and Release of Liability Policy

Participants of events organised by ‘Friends of the Earth Malta’ acknowledge that participation in such activities involves certain risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or property damage. 

By agreeing to this Policy, participants:  

• Understand that it is their responsibility to assess the risks associated with the activity and to ensure that they are physically and mentally capable of participating.
• Agree to abide by all safety guidelines, rules, and instructions provided by the organization or its representatives before, during, and after the activity.
• Agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ‘Friends of the Earth Malta’, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from or related to their participation in the activity.
• Understand and agree that this waiver and release of liability shall be binding on participants’ heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.
• If under the age of eighteen (18), participants understand and agree that parents and/or guardians shall also indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ‘Friends of the Earth Malta’, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from or related to the minor’s participation in the activity.

By agreeing to this Policy and in consideration of being permitted to participate in its activities, participants, and if under the age of eighteen (18) their parents or guardians, hereby waive, release, and discharge ‘Friends of the Earth Malta’, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by participants during the course of the activity.

Medical Authorization

By agreeing to this Policy, participants authorize ‘Friends of the Earth Malta’ and its representatives to seek medical treatment in the event of an emergency and agree to bear all costs associated with such treatment.

By agreeing to this Policy, participants certify that they have read this waiver form in its entirety and fully understand its contents, and voluntarily agree to its terms and conditions.
