With the arrival of a new year, Friends of the Earth Malta (FoEM) renews its commitment to working tirelessly for a better environment and a sustainable future for both people and the planet. As the NGO reflects on the achievements of the past year, it also celebrates a significant milestone.
As the year draws to a close, so does Friends of the Earth Malta’s (FoEM) celebration of the 40th anniversary since its founding as Żgħażagħ Għall-Ambjent. The NGO is humbled to have reached this milestone and deeply grateful for the journey thus far.
As part of its 40th anniversary celebrations, Friends of the Earth Malta (FoEM) wishes to pay tribute to its headquarters, the Julian Manduca Green Resource Centre, and to the collective efforts that went into restoring the space and transforming it into a thriving hub for community and environmental action.
On Friday, 20th June 2025, Friends of the Earth Malta (FoEM) officially launched its 40th Anniversary celebrations with an electrifying gig at the Green Resource Centre in Floriana. The event paid tribute to four decades of environmental activism, grassroots organising, and a steadfast commitment to environmental and social justice, all rooted in the organisation’s community-driven origins.
