Ir-Ramla l-Hamra – Let's Nature

 30th September 2018 at 3.30PM

Join us for the third event from the series of educational walks in Natura 2000 sites around Gozo.

This time we are visiting ir-Ramla l-Ħamra, with a guided short walk at the sand dunes, by Gaia Foundation volunteers, to understand how sand dunes are formed and their importance in the ecosystem at Ramla bay. A walking clean up will happen as we walk around the dunes, so that we leave the site a bit more beautiful then it was before.

BeeCause @ Science in the City

All the buzz is on bees this year at Science in the City with Friends of the Earth Malta! Try out our latest bee-count app which we will be launching during the event. Whilst you’re at it, we will also show you how to build your own bee hotel with recycled materials! Kids will get the opportunity to have their favourite bee face painting . This will be part of our Bee Cause Campaign, an awareness campaign focusing on bees and pollinators in Malta.

You can find us in Great Siege Square Valletta at the 'Ekologija and Environmental Area' from 6pm till late.

BeeCause App

Join our BeeCause campaign with our free app which will get you off to a flying start in identifying and recording different species of bees.

By sending us your reports of bee sightings, you’ll learn more about our precious pollinators and easy ways to help them. Plus, you’ll be helping us build a better understanding of the nation’s bee populations. Your sightings will help experts learn more about different bee species across the Maltese islands.
