What to expect
This is an informal live-in where you can expect to make new friends, learn a new skill, learn about nature and sustainability and enjoy our open spaces. There will be teamwork sessions and planned joint activities, and plenty of time to socialise, discuss and enjoy the space. More information about the sessions is soon to come but expect activities like nature walk, activity by the sea, composting workshop and stargazing. We will also cook together and have a bonfire bbq night.
Who can join?
The live-in is open for young people age 16 to 21. Anyone can join and no previous similar experiences are required. For youth under 18, you will need to present a consent form from your guardian (we will communicate this information with you by email).
The place where we will be staying has separate dorms with bunk beds. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be sufficient spacing between beds, and spaces are limited to avoid crowding. There are bathrooms, showers, a kitchen, living space, and outdoor facilities that we can use. You can also opt to camp on-site if you prefer camping either for the fun of it, or if you would like your own personal space.
Due to the covid-19 situation, we are asking that participants either have a vaccine certificate or else that a PCR or rapid test is done before joining the activity. The group will be kept small with around 15 participants to ensure everyone’s safety.
Who is organising?
The live-in is organised by Friends of the Earth Malta together with Generation (Change?), an environmental organisation, and a youth organisation. This activity is part of the System: Reset project funded through Erasmus+.
Booking closes on Friday 3rd of September. Spaces are limited so if you are interested book through the form below. while there are still spaces remaining. The event is completely free but a refundable deposit of 10 euros is required to confirm your participation.
There will be a selection process so registering does not automatically confirm that you will be selected for the youth camp.
