Sustainable Agriculture Course

FreeThis course is organised by Friends of the Earth Malta in partnership with MAYA (Malta Youth in Agriculture Foundation). It intends to give people the opportunity to learn more about sustainable agricultural practices and the influence of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
The six-session course will start in March and will be split into 3 theoretical sessions and 3 practical sessions that include a site visit. The theoretical sessions will take place at the Friends of the Earth Malta Green Resource Centre in Floriana on Wednesday evening (17:30-19:30), whilst the practical sessions will take place at different farms on Saturday morning (09:30-11:30). The exact dates of each session are listed below
- Agriculture and the CAP – 13th March (17:30-19:30)
- Food Producers and the CAP – 16th March (9:30-11:30)
- Citizens and the CAP – 20th March (17:30-19:30)
- Environment Friendly Food Production – 23rd March (9:30-11:30)
- Creating Wealth through Food – 30th March (9:30-11:30)
- Diversification in Agriculture – 3rd April (17:30-19:30)
