Join us for a visit to tan-Nixxiegha Olive Grove in Binġemma to learn about the olive production. We will be going on a tour of the site, talking about olive trees, herbs, sustainable farming practices and on the importance of having policies that support farmers. This activity is part of our project, ‘Citizen’s CAP’, aimed at making you more aware of the most important EU policies concerning food production.
THE AGENDA FOR THE EVENT IS AS FOLLOWS :
- Welcome and Registration (at 9:45 sharp since we need to make our way to the olive grove)
- Introduction to the project and round of introductions
- Introduction to the Olive Grove. Tour around/ herb trail
- Discussion around olive oil production and the Common Agricultural Policy
- Tasting of Olive Oil produced
- Information discussions
- Conclusions + Feedback Form
