After one year as an ESC volunteer, I am closing this chapter

with gratitude and a lot of beautiful memories.

It has been a year full of learning, growth, community, and experiences that I will always carry with me. I had the chance to be part of an NGO, work on projects, organise events, communicate ideas, and meet people from different backgrounds who made this journey special.

What I will carry with me most are the people. The community we created, the friendships, the conversations, the support in difficult moments, and all the small everyday moments that made this experience meaningful. I will also carry with me a deeper connection with nature.

Living so close to the sea, spending time on Comino, and being constantly reminded of the importance of protecting these places changed the way I look at the environment and my relationship with it.

Comino will always stay special for me,  a place of the heart, an island in the middle of the islands. Seeing the vision of creating an educational centre connected to nature and community is something I will always remember.

From long days by the sea to community events, shared meals, and moments like seeing people dancing together, this year gave me memories that,
