Gaia Mengarelli

Thanks to the Erasmus + Traineeship Programme I had the opportunity to support the FoEM team in running its work related to food and agriculture, climate change and resource use. During my internship, I have been involved in those projects that were already ongoing before my arrival providing my commitment to them. I have had the privilege to work with people who have a great experience in environmental activism and from whom I have learnt so much. I have gained confidence in working within the NGO’s methodology, developing teamwork expertise, organizing events and educational activities. But mostly, this experience let me stay close to a reality I barely did know before: the one of the countryside, of the rural landscape and the small farmers’ community
