Campaigns

Friends of the Earth Malta aims to work on the ground with local communities and other organisations in order to provide engaging campaigns. In addition, the organisation is also in constant dialogue with policy makers in order to develop solutions and strategies that can help mitigate a wide range of environmental and social issues.

Friends of the Earth Malta already has a long list of successful projects under its belt, and continuously strives to come up with original and exciting campaigns that involve the general public and diverse sectors of society.

Since its inception in 1985, Friends of the Earth Malta continues to work on issues relating to resource use (in particular land and water), and biodiversity conservation, which are still of pertinent interest in Malta. The organisation has now also expanded its remit to also cover emerging topics such as Climate Change, Food Security, and Environmental Education.

In addition to our project work, we’re also consistently involved in environmental activism at the local level. Make sure to read up on our recent work.
