Green Reads from our Community Library

We are seeing an increased interest in sustainable agriculture and community gardening and  it is a welcome sign to see that different courses are now being offered locally on organic farming and permaculture so we thought of suggesting a few good reads from our lending library.

Our available titles on agriculture range from topics such as Agroecology, Urban Farming, Restoration Agriculture, Forest Gardens, Composting and we recently added a book in Maltese written by one of the main promoters of organic farming locally Mario Joseph Salerno: Biedja Organika  Għal Ġejjieni Sostenibbli . The informative manual covers extensive topics such as agroecology, organic horticulture and focuses especially on practical tips on local crops and how to grow them.

Maybe you do not have your own fields but… no space – no problem! Have a look at our selection of books on growing food in small spaces – titles include One Magic Square, Indoor Kitchen in the Garden, and Growing up the Wall.
